Summertime in New York City

The first thing I did once I got there was walk down with my friend to the John Lennon memorial. It's magical and right in central park.

We walked down through the park and then landed up here in Time Square.

Next we took a walk along the highline and enjoyed all the plants along with this amazing city.

The next day I took my own adventure and walked over to Brooklyn. On the way there were plenty of beautiful sights to see.

There is art and expression all around.

This is art the top of the Williamsburg bridge.

when I got back from Brooklyn I adventured down to the tip of Manhattan.

Anywhere I went in New York City there was lush green.

I didn't have time before meeting up with my friends for the evening to take the ferry out to statton island, but I did enjoy the view and the world that was happening right there art the docks.

That evening we went down to Union Square Park, ate at the Wholefoods and then hula hooped all evening. There was live music and kids running around and People of every walk of life.

My favorite by far was the time I had watching these kids play with giant bubbles that a man was making in Central Park.

The joy of a kid with a bubbles is like no other.

This was the team leader, his mission, seek and distroy. He was a true athlete going after these huge bubbles.

The little girls not so much, but they enjoyed each bubble as if it we're the best thing they had ever seen.

Family is all around you in New York.

And so is Love

There is something so endearing about how genuine relationships are in New York.

There is life wherever you go.

And beauty growing in the most unexpected places.

There is a love everyone shares of this great city, you can feel it in the air.

Sometimes you feel so small,

But then you feel right at home.

You remember to have fun.

And be a litle wild.

You remember it's all about love.

And about finding you're true self.

You remember how good it is to have a true friend.

And how good it is to have a true lover.

And how it's the little things in life that give you the most joy.

No matter who you are in New York your never alone.

You are loved here.

And your always welcome.

Zero waste is easy

Living zero waste is easier then I thought. It makes a lot more sense then throwing away perfectly good things because they are made for one use and then thrown away. Who would ever use a nice mug once and then throw it away? But every day millions of people drink their coffee and throw away their cup.

The real reason for the waste is disconnection. When we have no connection with what happens next in the process we are unconnected and so we don't give it any thought. We may not consciously think it but we treat the trash can as if it is a magical cylinder that makes things disappear, never to be seen again.

While most people will never see their coffee cup again, they will see one that is the same or similar on average 100 times in just one year. And all of those cups go into that same magic bin. The amount of food waste we make is astounding. Unfortunatly most of us never see it because of the magic bins that line our streets and parks and homes. If even a small percent off America would take responsibility for their garbage consumption and push the Market for more sustainable practices we could really get a lot done.

So that's what I'm here for. To show you how to take responsibility as a consumer, because consumers create and shape the market. We truly have the power to say how we want the world through our dollar.

Start today by getting a reusable bag. Carry it with you wherever you go. Bring your own water bottle, or mason jar with you at all times too. Opt for no straw and bring your own utensils and cloth napkin. These few things right here could change the world. 🌍✌🌍✌🌍✌🌍✌🌍✌

How to live debt free

Living debt free is easy.

All it takes is a true passion for being free.

All it takes is the knowledge that just because you could buy it, doesn't mean you should buy it.

It takes knowing that money in your savings account is more honorable then gold around your neck.

It takes knowing that the best kind of people will not love you any less if you don't follow the worlds trends and fads.

minimalism makes being debt free simple. Because when you focus your life on just a few simple things, you don't need to spend money on all of those quickly fading things.

When your focus is on writing a book, or breaking a new personal best at the gym, you won't be worried about having the latest things. You will start to realise that shopping is just a racket and only people who have no purpose laid out for themselves get caught up in loosing all their money by trying to look wealthy.

You've got to have goals that you focus on. What do you truly want to accomplish in this life? This has got to be what you spend your time on. Do you want to be a painter or a musician or a famous traveler? What do you truly want? Now, start doing that. Put your effort into it. Make a time to practice it everyday.

The outcome in our life is not in the big moments, but in the tiny every day routines.
Put your focus on creating something instead of consuming things and buying things and you will quickly see your bank account full.

How to Maximize your new found time

Welcome to minimalism. Where there is plenty of time, and lots of chances to get yourself in trouble or fall off the band wagon. With all of this precious free time is it easy to get lost and start to lose control of all you’ve worked for. This is where the blank space of life is very important to learn how to control. A lot of people learn how to control money, but very few learn how to make time work for them.

A really successful and amazing women named Mary Kay taught everyone around her and in her company to always write down the 6 most important things that you have to do the next day. When you wake up the idea is to start with the most difficult and unappealing task on the list and work your way down ending with the easiest. There is a saying that if you eat a frog for breakfast everything else will taste like cake. This is one of the best ways that I keep focused and am able to get the most bang out of my bucks for the time I spend each day.

The most important thing in life is keeping your mind focused. Always having what you truly want in front of you at all times and remembering why you are doing what you are doing. A vision board is a great visual to keep you on track. When I say a vision board though, its a minimalist vision board I suggest about 6-8 things that you want to focus your life at. maybe even less if you don't have so many passions. This will keep things concise and you wont feel overwhelmed by a chaotic board of random pictures.

When you are picking out the top few things that you want to focus on in your life that's when things start to get really good. When you pick out the picture of the fancy car, ask yourself what about this picture do I really want? Is it the car? Or is it the feeling ill get from driving it? Or is it the feeling ill get from other people seeing me in it? All of the things that you think you want in life have some pretty amazing lessons to learn if you take the time to figure your root motives about each one.

Food Shelter and Water should take up 3 of your spots in your goals. Without these three there is no use for anything else. When we get down to it, life is pretty easy isn't it?

My list of things to focus on goes like this:
Healthy Food
Good Home
Water and Wine
Travel
Loved Ones
Expression through Art
Taking care of my Body

There are so many things we get caught up in and none of those things even matter.
Life is simple and Minimalism is about bringing it back to that core of simplicity.

Good luck on your journey to a clear and simple life.
Enjoy your new found free time to the fullest.
